PILLAR |
It includes tools to create, move and erase pillars.
To add this element, it is required to have created a room.
This option allows you to insert pillars in the design. It is also possible to use this option to make "beams" on the ceiling. When clicking on the icon, the following dialog will appear where you will enter the measurements of the pillars or the walls (height, width, depth, elevation), or if we want the pillar to have a "rounded" shape:
By accepting the data, the cursor will show the outline of the element when you are in 2D mode, or the item itself in 3D mode. You can move the item with the mouse.
The message "Push spacebar to release angle or ESC to cancel..." appears close to the mouse and two dimensions are shown with the available distances on both sides of the pillar.
Push the spacebar once and the item will turn automatically when it is close to a wall. The message next to the cursor will change to "Push Spacebar to fix angle or "ESC" to cancel...". Push the spacebar again to fix the angle so that it will not turn any more. This way you can rotate an item depending on the angle of the walls.
To cancel the insertion, press the "ESC" key. To insert the item, press the left mouse button in the desired position.
This option allows changing the pillar "Height", "Thickness", "Depth" and "Elevation", or if we want to make them rounded. When clicking on this button, Quick3DPlan® DS shows the message "Select object or press ESC to cancel...". After clicking on the pillar, the following dialog box appears. Click on the green checkmark to validate the changes.
This tool allows you to change the position of a pillar. Once you click on this icon, the message "Select object or press "ESC" to cancel..." appears. After selecting the pillar that you want to move, the following window is shown.
In this window, the left image represents a chair viewed from the top. The four arrow buttons are to move the pillar forward, backward, left and right. To move the pillar, insert the value of the distance to be moved in the white box, and press the appropriate arrow button to indicate the direction of the movement.
The actual orientation of the pillar might not be the same as the one shown in the window. To help you understand the direction in which the item will move, Quick3DPlan® DS shows a red and blue set of arrows on the screen close to the selected pillar. The movement will be done according to these colored arrows. |
This command allows you to delete the selected pillar. After clicking on this button, Quick3DPlan® DS shows the message "Select object or press "ESC" to cancel...". After selecting the pillar, the following message appears asking you to validate your choice:
